Experiencing the ‘overview effect’

I’ve been so taken with this article this week. I keep coming back to it.

While perhaps not quite at the magnitude astronauts experience, the ‘overview effect’ of developmental coaching is one of the reasons why it can produce significant change. It’s space but of a different, more accessible kind.

When someone helps you go higher, and you see more and differently, both your options and your desire to take action can shift profoundly.

And the impacts are both deeply personal and highly commercial.

It’s an enormous privilege to be someone’s ‘space’.
